Around 1776, both Canada and the U.S. were part of the British Empire, and everyone living in the colonies were considered a British subject. A war broke out, largely due to high taxation and other grievances imposed by the British Empire. The British subjects were faced with a difficult choice:
Remain loyal to the British Crown, who believed in oppression through taxation and other forms of control or betray the British Crown and fight for independence, eventually leading to the creation of the United States.
Canadians will be faced again with a similar decision.
Stay loyal to the Canadian government who is still subject to the same British monarchy and supports oppression and control or join the United States who stands for freedom and is not subject to any Queen or King and laws at set by a constitution that defends the people.
