Is there a video platform like YouTube that supports a Zap-style tipping system like ZapStream?
I’ve been following this channel on YouTube for years—their content is consistently amazing and often quite accurate. I don’t even have a YouTube account to subscribe; I just keep their channel bookmarked and check in regularly.
Over the years, I’ve watched them grow. They even experimented with subscription-only videos as a way to monetize.
I use an ad blocker, which I know doesn’t help them financially, but I really dislike ads. Still, they manage to put out new videos almost every day. Can you imagine the research and effort that goes into that? It’s clearly a huge amount of work.
The problem is, there’s currently no real way for me to support them—YouTube doesn’t have a Bitcoin-based tipping or zapping system.
And what’s sad is that this isn’t the only channel I’ve been consistently watching for years.
Since discovering Bitcoin and the Zap tipping model, I’ve come to really appreciate how much effort creators put into their work. Unfortunately, I still can’t support this channel in the way I’d like to.
The good thing is it’s only a matter of time before a YouTube competitor website adds the zap tipping system.
Video creators will finally be rewarded for their hard work.
