The Nostr Relay site I built using ChatGPT is coming along pretty well. I\u2019ve found about ten paid relays so far\u2014if you know of any more, let me know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m not adding free relays because there is thousands of them! including all of them would take way too much time and effort. I\u2019m only motivated to build things if there\u2019s a monetary incentive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ChatGPT says it can generate a Python script to scan the internet or specific websites to compile a list of relays for me, but I\u2019m not sure I want to do that. Why should I do all the work of finding and adding relays myself? I think it\u2019s better to build a site where relay administrators can log in and add their own relays. That way, at least they\u2019re putting in the effort to be listed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One thing I\u2019ve noticed is that both free and paid relays rarely have a dedicated info page. Some administrators don\u2019t even seem involved with their relays\u2014even when they\u2019re paid. So, if you\u2019re paying for one, be careful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you add a relay, it shows who the administrator is, so you can check their profile and see if they\u2019re actually active on Nostr. Personally, I\u2019d only pay for a relay if the admin is engaged, not one where they\u2019ve disappeared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Programming is exhausting, and I\u2019m not even the one doing it\u2014ChatGPT is handling the coding for me, and it’s making me tired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let\u2019s hope Bitcoin makes us all rich someday so we can just chill on the beach and do nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
