Many immigrants are paying recruiters upwards of $30,000 just for the chance to work in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To afford it, some take out high-interest loans or even put their family’s farmland up as collateral. They\u2019re promised good-paying jobs, fast-track citizenship, and the ability to bring their families over \u2014 a dream sold by recruiters that rarely matches reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once they arrive, many end up in low-wage fast food or labor jobs, barely making enough to survive. They’re often tied to a single employer, unable to switch jobs or speak out without risking deportation. Some are even pressured to pay additional fees just to extend their work permits or apply for permanent residency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the end, many return home still in debt. In the worst cases, their families lose everything \u2014 including their land. It’s a predatory system, and for too many, it\u2019s a nightmare disguised as opportunity. Who\u2019s behind this scam?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Corporations \u2014 They want cheap, compliant labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Canadian government \u2014 They enable it by turning a blind eye, because cheap labor props up the economy and keeps wages low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recruiters and immigration consultants \u2014 They exploit legal loopholes and charge desperate migrants outrageous fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who suffers the most?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The immigrants \u2014 They\u2019re treated like disposable labor, stuck in debt and fear, with little protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Canadians \u2014 Corporations prioritize hiring migrants over Canadians, driving wages down and reducing job opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
