I’ve been following Shakepay for a couple of years now, and I have to say, their team is doing some solid work.
It looks like they’ve added a new feature that lets you pay your rent or mortgage directly through the app. I haven’t tried it yet, but from what I understand, it likely works by selling your Bitcoin for CAD, which is then used to make the payment.
Of course, the ultimate goal is to one day pay directly in Bitcoin, cutting out the need for CAD altogether. But until we get there, features like this are meaningful steps in the right direction.
Every small improvement helps move the Bitcoin mission forward.
As far as I know. Unfortunately, Shakepay is only available for Canadians
