El Salvadorons think Bitcoiners are rich

Who are these El Salvadorans trying to fool? $4.78 USD for a tiny cup of coffee? According to ChatGPT, those prices are likely aimed at Bitcoin tourists, as many locals assume Bitcoiners are basically walking ATMs with unlimited money. A typical coffee for locals in El Salvador costs much much less.

In Canada, I can get a larger coffee for around $2. So why would I pay more than double for less, in a developing country?

Honestly, I’m glad the El Salvador Bitcoin hype is fading. Maybe I should open my own coffee shop here in Canada and undercut them. Canada isn’t a third-world country, yet prices here are still more reasonable.

Trump is still on Nostr

Trump has a profile on Nostr that mirrors his posts from Truth Social. It’s extremely useful for staying updated.

Interestingly, no one knows who runs the account. Is it managed by a dedicated Trump supporter? Or could it be quietly operated by his own team? Nobody knows.

The profile doesn’t have Bitcoin zap tips enabled, so users can’t send zaps to support it. If it did, I’d definitely zap it—I find the profile useful.

AI will replace artists, painters and many more

I watched a documentary about artists who are upset with people re-designing their artwork using AI. It reminded me of that Italian painter on Nostr who was upset and arguing that AI isn’t real art.

So, I decided to take his painting and use AI to enhance it. The result turned out amazing

I mean, I could literally paint something, scan it, upload it, and have AI make it look stunning—no painting skills required.

Now I’m wondering… should I become a painter and sell AI-enhanced artwork?

I get why some people are upset, but I think they’ll have to adapt to the technology.

I’m honestly blown away by AI. It’s incredible.

Soon will will bypass Steam with decentralized gaming.

Game developers should build a decentralized gaming platform — like Steam, but with the Nostr Bitcoin tipping system built in.

It’s time for them to join the Bitcoin zap tipping revolution and make money and completely bypass Steam.

Developers could upload their games, let people play for free, and earn zaps directly from players who appreciate their work.

Instead of selling their game for 30 USD which limits exposure especially for new dev companies. Letting gamers play their game for free would allow developers especially indie developers to have maximum exposure and actually make more money in the long run from tips.

This makes a lot of sense once you start putting a lot of thought into it.

Steam is great for exposure for big developers not so much small developers, it takes a 30% cut, controls the storefront, buries indie games under algorithm sludge, and forces devs to follow strict terms. It’s centralized and favors big publishers.

A decentralized alternative would give power back to creators. Direct tips. No gatekeepers. Just value-for-value.

I don’t actually have an issues with Steam but I’m not a developer. I’m a buyer of games. I have noticed that I only buy big corporate made games. Mostly because that’s what I see my friend playing. I don’t even know how to search for indie games. I just buy what my friend is playing.

Maybe I should start searching for indie games since I hate corporations.

If someone built this platform. I would probably only play free games, stream them and tip them based on how much I enjoyed it.

I really like this idea — it feels like the future of gaming. Bitcoin makes me think so much about the future and I love it because it’s going to take power away from these massive corporations and give it back to the creators.

I currently have a total of 11,238 bits (about $108 USD) in my Bitcoin wallet.

On average, I zap around 21 bits per note that I like. That means I can zap up to a total of 5,297 notes. wow.

that’s a lot of zaps! Currently, only a tiny fraction of the world has a Bitcoin wallet right now, so imagine this zapping fun once the world population has a Bitcoin wallet.

The Earth is abundant in everything

Gold & Silver Is a Scam Compared to Bitcoin

Back in 2017, I bought two coins from the Canadian Mint — one gold, one silver — just out of curiosity. At the time, there were massive debates online between gold bugs and Bitcoiners. I wanted to see what “real” gold and silver felt like in my hands.

Right away, I thought the Mint’s website was overpriced. I had a bad feeling, but I went ahead and bought just two coins. When they arrived, they came in a fancy box with shiny paper — I threw those out immediately. I regret that now, not because they looked good, but because they would’ve helped me remember the exact prices and order details.

ChatGPT estimates I paid around $53 USD for the 1g gold coin and $14 USD for the 8g silver coin. That sounds right, because I clearly remember being angry at how expensive they were for such small pieces of metal.

Turns out that according to chatgpt the premiums were high because small coins cost more to produce — and that fancy box? Also part of the markup. If you want better value, you have to buy full 1 oz coins or more. Today, my two coins are worth less than what I paid — I’m still down about $20 USD eight years later.

It only took me a few minutes, even back then, to realize Bitcoin was in a completely different league. It wasn’t just better — it was revolutionary. If I had put the same money into Bitcoin instead, I’d have over $6,000 today.

Try selling a single 1g gold or 8g silver coin — nobody wants them. They’re basically financial souvenirs. The only real use for them now is as a teaching prop to show others just how bad gold and silver are as money.

In conclusion, there never was a real debate.

Bitcoin was always the winner.

Rumble’s creator program is a joke

Look at these absurd requirements Rumble imposes on its users just for a chance to earn money. I seriously doubt the majority of their users are making any substantial money.

In contrast, the Zap Stream monetization model is far more powerful than both Rumble and YouTube combined.

Philippines people are eating trash to survive.

Gross. In the Philippines, there’s an underground market where people buy garbage from fast food restaurants, dig through it to find chicken scraps with meat still on them, then re-fry and re-sell them.

They even have a name for it. It’s called PagPag.

The guy who investigated and filmed it actually ate a piece at the end. It’s extremely unsafe to even try a piece.

I’ve never seen poverty that extreme in Canada — it simply doesn’t exist here.
