These restaurants are typically for sale for around $80K USD, with rent around $2K USD per month.\n\nOne particular location has hosted several types of restaurants: Italian, Thai, Indian, and now it\u2019s going to become a Vietnamese restaurant.\n\nWhenever I go to get food from them, the owners are always friendly and share a lot of information about their lives and their experiences.\n\nSome of the owners are amateurs, while others are experienced in the restaurant business, but none of them have been able to succeed, and they eventually close down.\n\nThe main reason is, the struggling economy. Canada is in a downturn, and with fewer people having children and the impact of Trump-era tariffs, it's even harder. I don\u2019t think many people who buy these businesses are doing their homework.
