Took on more debt. Housing is currently going down. She's basically stuck paying for a house that is losing value.\n\nHer house is now worth 30% less than when she bought it because of the current recession. I suspect she won't pay it off and will eventually declare bankruptcy.\n\nThis is the housing scam the banks have going on in Canada.
