I\u2019m so excited that my LFL instance now has its own voice room! \n\nOne of the best things about having a voice room on my own domain is having control over my own space.\n\nI\u2019ve used apps like HelloTalk, which is Chinese, and Tandem, which is German. They also have voice rooms, but there\u2019s way too much censorship. You can\u2019t talk about politics, religion, and many other topics. It feels like there\u2019s always a list of things you\u2019re not allowed to discuss. Eventually, apps like that either ban people or drive them away.\n\nNow I have my own voice room, on my own domain, where I decide the rules and what conversations are allowed. And if you run your own LFL instance, you can do the same! \n\nVoice rooms are one thing I think Nostr is still missing. There has been some work on them, but they\u2019re still fairly new and not widely supported by Nostr clients and apps.
