I remember when BTCPAY Server turned off their demo website for 1 day because too many users were using it in production.

I am one of those users. I lost profit that day & so did other users. They forced me to take a day off and go outside.

I've been putting off setting up my own BTCPayServer instance because it’s not possible to install it on my Shared Hosting server. So i have to purchase another server either a VPS or Dedicated Server.

The cheapest i have found is 10USD per month but the Ram on the servers are about 2GB. Which is extremely low and you will end up having issues. Their website even states this.

BTCPayServer requires a lot of ram & space & processing power.

It is overkill for users who just want to run it for their small online store.

I also cannot trust 3rd party BTCPayServer instances. I have seen many come and go. Mostly because the instances have realized they are not able to make money from their users. So they are paying server fees for no reward. Eventually they shut off their instance.

The big corporations who are using BTCPayServer only use it for themselves and their instance is not open to registrations. Of course they can afford a team to install, maintain & modify their instance.

We need a new BTCPay Software that can be easily installed in the same fashion as WordPress. Wordpress is amazing software which runs on shared hosting and is easy to install.

BTCPay Server has turned into Enterprise software with Enterprise hardware. It's not for the little people.
