Ever since steam was invented. I haven't pirated games for over a decade.

I really like their steam sales. I usually only buy games when they are on sale.

I don't think i've ever bought a game that cost more than 20 USD.

I don't buy new games only older games.

This is a good example of innovating. Pirating games has dramatically decreased since platforms like steam were invented.
