I finally finished Far Cry 3, after playing a total of about 57 hours. This was truly one of the best FPS games I've ever experienced. I definitely got my money's worth, especially since I picked it up on sale for around $10.

One of the main reasons I enjoyed the game so much was how it guided you throughout the journey.

Normally, I'm not a huge fan of open-world games because many developers leave it up to the player to figure out where to go, which often leads to aimless wandering and frustration. You either have to figure it out on your own or resort to a walkthrough. For me, if a game forces you to rely on external guides to progress, that’s a fail on the developers' part.

I also remember Prince of Persia 2008 had a similar feature, constantly guiding you on where to go, which made the experience much more enjoyable.

While Far Cry 3 did have a few annoying aspects, nothing was a dealbreaker. The most frustrating thing for me was Ubisoft’s annoying "Connect" software, which requires a password verification every few days if you haven’t played the game in a while. It's an unnecessary hassle that takes me out of the experience and makes me not want to buy a Ubisoft game anymore.
