Life is really difficult for small business owners in Canada, the long winters and crazy snow storms make it worse, but most of all trying to compete against Walmart isn't someone you can beat.

This lady is selling her homemade jam products, had to travel to another city to sell them. There was a big snow storm in the middle of the trip which lead to accidents which closed the whole highway and hundreds of vehicles have been stranded for over 24 hours, the government is having a hard time trying to save them because there's too much snow and visibility is bad.

She had 70k worth of products which are now frozen and ruined. That's a lot of money for a small business person especially when making money is difficult with high has prices and also the fact that everyone mostly shops at Walmart.

Unfortunately, there isn't much of a way to help these small farmers and businesses owners.
