Installing cameras inside your home is a good idea. That way when you have a domestic dispute and someone shoots someone you can have evidence on who shot who. If you're worried about hackers, just don't connect the cameras to the internet and out the computers in locked place with the half the password to unlock with you and the other half with your partner. That why they can't steal the hard drive.
