When a couple has a baby you should merge the man and woman's last name, first 3 letters of both last names for the baby's last name.

What's the point of this? Well the old tradition of taking only the father's last name is outdated. The baby should carry the mom's legacy too, plus, It would solve the issue of too many people having the same last names. Smith is a common name in the US.
