On Nostr and Gab, I’ve posted notes with up to 5,000 characters, including spaces, and I still haven’t hit the character limit.
In comparison, Truth Social has a 1,500-character limit, and X has a 290-character limit.
I really dislike character limits. It’s especially frustrating on X, where people often post multiple tweets under the original one. It becomes confusing, and I find myself clicking through them all, sometimes getting lost.
Because my posts tend to be longer, I always end up taking screenshots of my notes from Gab and posting them as image attachments on X and Truth Social to bypass the character limit.
Why are my posts so long? Maybe I just think too much. One thing and I’m sure many feel the same way.
Nostr will beat them all.
