Election Interference by Both Democratic and Republican “Influencers” Financed by Wealthy Backers
I’ve been hearing rumors along these lines:
Individuals with significant financial resources have been for many decades setting up offshore companies to funnel money. This money is used to hire “influencers” to manipulate public opinion.
These offshore companies also employ bot farms to artificially inflate the followers of their influencers, creating a false sense of popularity and support. This tactic has reportedly been used by both Democratic and Republican groups. The influencers and the creators of these companies are be violating the law in the process.
For years, I’ve known how to purchase large quantities of bots. Initially, I thought they were mostly used to inflate website traffic artificially. However, I never imagined that bots would be used to manipulate elections, especially in the U.S. and other countries.
Additionally, I’ve seen large quantities of verified blue-check profiles being advertised. At first, I didn’t understand why anyone would advertise verified accounts, especially since blue checks signify a paid subscription. It didn’t make sense—why would anyone sell them in bulk?
The answer seems to be that wealthy individuals or groups, whether foreign or domestic, are using these accounts to influence elections. While purchasing blue-check profiles can be costly, it’s within the reach of those with significant financial resources.
Before the introduction of blue-checks, it was much harder to track these groups and influencers. But now, since having a blue check requires money, authorities are able to trace where the funds are coming from. This is why the blue check has become so significant. It’s also crucial for getting posts seen, as a blue check increases visibility and credibility on X.
There is currently a massive effort on X to track and expose these influencers and the groups financing these illegal activities.
The purchase of Twitter was a major win in the battle to track and stop these criminals.
Keep using your critical thinking skills and stay alert. The corruption is widespread—on both sides of the political spectrum, whether Left or Right.
