I almost gave up trying to set up my own BTCPay Server, but with the help of ChatGPT and the BTCPay team, I finally managed to get it running. It’s not easy working with Linux servers using only the terminal.
I’m so close to my final goal which is setting up my own Lightning node and channel which will enable me to have my own Lightning wallet. I’ve been using Wallet of Satoshi, and it’s an excellent wallet—reliable, with no downtime or issues. However, I prefer hosting everything myself.
BTCPay is amazing software. I recommend it to anyone who wants to host their own Bitcoin any many other amazing things you can do with the software.
Self-hosting can be challenging; you really need to know your way around Linux. But I’m getting the hang of it!
