My Nostr Shop List of Paid Relays Site updated

The Nostr Relay site I built using ChatGPT is coming along pretty well. I’ve found about ten paid relays so far—if you know of any more, let me know.

I’m not adding free relays because there is thousands of them! including all of them would take way too much time and effort. I’m only motivated to build things if there’s a monetary incentive.

ChatGPT says it can generate a Python script to scan the internet or specific websites to compile a list of relays for me, but I’m not sure I want to do that. Why should I do all the work of finding and adding relays myself? I think it’s better to build a site where relay administrators can log in and add their own relays. That way, at least they’re putting in the effort to be listed.

One thing I’ve noticed is that both free and paid relays rarely have a dedicated info page. Some administrators don’t even seem involved with their relays—even when they’re paid. So, if you’re paying for one, be careful.

When you add a relay, it shows who the administrator is, so you can check their profile and see if they’re actually active on Nostr. Personally, I’d only pay for a relay if the admin is engaged, not one where they’ve disappeared.

Programming is exhausting, and I’m not even the one doing it—ChatGPT is handling the coding for me, and it’s making me tired.

Let’s hope Bitcoin makes us all rich someday so we can just chill on the beach and do nothing.
