Namecheap is raising their prices because cPanel keep raising their prices. cPanel has a bad rep for constantly raising their prices and many complain about cpanel.
I don’t even use a panel on one of my other severs because cPanel alone is 60 a month or more! The only alternative I heard is DirectAdmin which is around $30 a month. I somehow managed to get by without a panel using chatgpt. haha
On namecheap hosting I paid upfront for 2 years which cost me $54. It’s going up to $130 for 2 years.
Massive increase but since I pay over a 2 year period. It’s still fairly cheap which comes at about $5.41 a month.
