Defund the NCAA!
The NCAA got caught allowing men to compete in women’s sports. The Trump administration forced them to change their policy, requiring that athletes in women’s sports must be assigned female at birth.
However, this change has a major loophole. Some states already allow birth certificate gender changes with minimal requirements, making it easy for individuals or organizations to exploit this rule. If an athlete amends their birth certificate to say they were “assigned female at birth,” they could technically meet the new NCAA requirement on paper while still being biologically male.
Unless the NCAA implements a biological verification process—such as requiring original birth certificates or medical records from birth—this policy change is nothing more than a temporary speed bump. It is likely that, over time, the NCAA will find a bureaucratic loophole to quietly reinstate male-born athletes in women’s sports.
But here’s the real issue: Why is the NCAA receiving public money?
I don’t care if men play in women’s sports because i don’t play or watch sports but it seems that other people do. So why isn’t the NCCA listening to the viewers and players?
The NCAA is a private organization. The NCAA benefits from indirect public funding—money taken from people’s paychecks through taxation and funneled into their system.
Without public funding, the NCAA would shrink drastically. If they want to operate, they should do so without taxpayer money.
Many of the other sports organizations also receive stolen public money.
Defund the NCAA! Defund them all!
