I misplaced my nsec from that zap steaming website. There doesn’t seem to be anyway to reset the password because the nsec is the password.
Is it really necessary for every website to use the npub/nsec login system?
In nostr is makes complete sense to have that type of system because there is no central server but on other websites it makes no sense at all. Especially if the website is already centralized.
It might also make it difficult to attract new users if you are trying to build a successful website without the normal database login system. People will often forget their passwords.
I’m not familiar with the mechanics of that type of login system. Does it even have a database anywhere if it’s used on a website like that zap.steam website?
I do like their website and i see it has lots of potential to de-thron twitch & kick because of their lightning zap donations.
Not every website needs to have the npub/nsec type login system.
