Rise of the Tomb Raider PC Game Review

I just finished Rise of the Tomb Raider… YAY!

I gotta say, the game made me pretty frustrated at times. First off, there’s no mini-map on the main screen, which meant I had to keep opening the menu just to figure out where I was going. Super annoying.

Another thing that bugged me was the lack of a health bar or any kind of indicator on the main screen. I found myself constantly having to guess how much health I had left. Not ideal.

The game also has an excessive amount of cutscenes. According to a gaming buddy of mine, they did this on purpose to make the game feel longer. I felt the same way about the first Tomb Raider—too many interruptions.

I ended up spending way too much time looking at guides online to figure out where I was supposed to go next. If the game’s design forces me to rely on external help, that’s a fail in my book.

One more thing—it should’ve been called Cave Raider because a lot of the “tombs” look more like caves. Just saying.

Other than those frustrations, it was a fun experience. I’d give it a 7/10.

I only bought it because my friend was playing it and recommended it to me, but there’s no way I’m picking up the third one!

Any suggestions for what game I should play next?
