There’s one restaurant in particular where the owner told me he had just moved to Canada and had tons of experience in the restaurant business. A year later, I checked his reviews, and they were all good.
Turns out, experience really does matter. Unfortunately, in Canada, with all the taxes(theft) and complex regulations, it’s incredibly difficult to gain solid experience. The margins are so thin that one mistake can cost you your entire business.
Most restaurants end up failing here.
There’s one spot in particular where the ownership changes every year. The only person making money is the landlord—because the restaurants never seem to last long enough to turn a profit.
The lesson here? Be the landlord. But even better—buy Bitcoin instead. Just imagine having to deal with tenants leaving every year. 😅
