Voice notes are the future!
Instead of typing out my notes, I’d prefer to record them using my own voice and have Artificial Intelligence transcribe the recordings into text, attaching them alongside my notes upon submission. Eventually with this becoming the standard.
Hearing users express their thoughts in their own voices feels far more authentic than simply reading text. It also serves as a way to verify the identity of the person behind the post, creating a clear and reliable record of what they’ve said. Transcriptions add another layer of functionality, allowing us to search for content easily or read the notes when we’re in situations where listening isn’t possible.
Using voice notes, paired with AI transcription, could add authenticity and personalization to social media posts. It would also help address a major issue: fake profiles. Many profiles—including some with verified blue checkmarks—are bots. Voice notes could make it more difficult for fake accounts to thrive, as people would notice inconsistencies in synthetic voices over time.
Wouldn’t we see fake AI profiles recording fake voices?
Yes–Of course, there’s the concern that AI-generated voices could be used to create fake profiles or mimic real people. While this is possible, faking the same voice repeatedly would be harder to sustain. Over time, subtle differences in tone, pacing, or emotion could reveal the truth, especially as AI tools improve in detecting synthetic voices. Ironically, AI itself could help spot these fakes, creating a safeguard against misuse.
I used an app called Clubhouse in the past, which was focused entirely on voice chat rooms, and I found it amazing and a lot of fun. One of the great features was that the rooms kept a record of the voice chats, allowing you to download them later.
I did a test run below unfortunately my hosting software doesn’t allow me to upload mp3s(voice) so I have to convert it on a mp4(video)
I don’t like vidoes as they take up too much space and editing videos takes a long time bu5 hopefully you all get my point.
